Botox Houston Injections
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

What are Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are the most popular forms of cosmetic botulinum toxin. These products, when injected in certain muscles, temporarily reduce muscle movement in those areas. This makes your muscles relax, and keeps you from perpetually making the severe muscle motions, such as deep frowns, that lead to wrinkles.
What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?They’re very similar, but some patients find that one might work a bit faster or last slightly longer than the other. According to the makers of Botox, the product could start to show results in as little as 24-48 hours, and lasts up to four months. According to the makers of Dysport, most patients enjoy significant improvement in between-brow lines within 2-3 days, and the product lasts up to four months. Every patient is different, so one product might simply work better than the other for you. Where on my face and body can I have Botox or Dysport?
You can get injections in your forehead lines, crow’s feet, lines between your brows, and even bands around your neck. Botox is FDA-approved for cosmetic use in the glabellar lines (between brows), forehead lines, and crow’s feet around the eyes. Botox is also FDA-approved for a number of non-cosmetic applications, including migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms. Dysport, which is very similar to Botox in formulation but is a newer product, is FDA-approved for cosmetic use in the glabellar lines. What age can I start Botox?
It might be earlier than you think. Preventive Botox, which prevents lines and wrinkles from forming in the first place rather than treating them after they’re ingrained, is a very popular treatment today. Utopia Med Spa has many preventive Botox patients in their 20s. When you start earlier, you have less obvious signs of aging going into your 30s, 40s, and beyond.
